The perfect place to buy the excellent Chartreuse cheese! Built in 1935, the Coopérative des Entremonts has been completely renovated to perpetuate the traditional production of raw milk cheeses. You will be able to observe, thanks to the visit gallery, this traditional know-how live, during the morning production. Every day, 10,000 litres of milk from about thirty Chartreuse farms are transformed into cheeses: Mont Granier, Chartreux, Délice, Estival and Tommes de Chartreuse. The store offers for sale not only the local production of cheeses, but also local cheeses and other regional products, wines, groceries or delicatessens. Guided tours are organized to discover the artisanal production of cheeses, local agriculture, its role on the landscape and the environment. An exhibition presents the steps of the manufacturing process.
