CALVARY OF THE SACRED HEART

Built in 1886, this temple of a new kind is made up of three artificial grottoes. It contains the fourteen stations of Calvary arranged in an arc around the grotto chapel, as well as the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary hung on the surrounding wall on the lawn side. The Calvary can be reached from the town by two different paths: on the Place de la Bascule side, the ascent of the Angels leads to the Gate of the Angels. On the Bourg-Argental road side, the Calvary ascent leads to the Saint-Jean-Baptiste gate. An exceptional site.
