Perched on the Hills of Forez, the hostel in Garnier is close to 1 400 m above sea level. The steep little road that leads you to this resting place (probably from Latin jacere, by extension: stay, home) cannot disappoint you. An exceptional view on the mountains and the Plaine du Forez once arrived at the top offers you the time of a snack on the terrace of the hostel! In a fresh time, the common room of 70 covers its guests: The kranichbar fire in the large fireplace brings well-being and warmth in this refuge cut from the world (electricity supplied by a generator). The forézien forézien (potatoes with fresh cream) will have simmered several hours before being served. A treat! The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The Auberge de Garnier is located in the heart of the Monts du Forez, in the commune of Saint-Bonnet-Le-Courreau.it offers a range of menus that are sure to please: "Casse Croûte", "Terroir" and "Fondue à la Fourme", all of which feature local cheeses and charcuterie.the inn is also renowned for its patia, a local speciality: delicious potatoes candied in cream for 4 hours, which will make your mouth water. Those with a small appetite will be delighted by the charcuterie or cheese platters, homemade pastries or artisanal ice creams. It's worth noting that the house places particular importance on the quality of its products, using ingredients selected from farms in the surrounding area. A great address for lovers of good food!

Vue superbe. Nous y sommes allés en bus, mais je pense que c’est un lieu idéal pour les randonneurs.(route très étroite, nous sommes hors saison mais un bus...)
