Geothermia museum dedicated to hot water in Chaudes-Aigues with the hottest spring in Europe, fun visit for all.
The site is one of the cradles of geothermal energy. Here, hot water has been heating the houses and supplying the thermal baths since the 14th century. The Geothermia Museum is dedicated to this renewable energy. Chaudes-Aigues has the hottest water source in Europe which emerges from its fountain at 82°C! The museum, spread over 3 levels, reveals the particularities of the Par spring, the mysteries of the hot springs and the history of thermalism.
