The horse park, located in the municipality of Chazey-sur-Ain, is home to the Rhône-Alpes territorial directorate of the French horse and horse riding institute.
A real recovery tool dedicated to the regional equine sector. The Park today provides several missions:
- it fédére the actors in the sector by positioning themselves as a gathering place, organising equestrian events, but also a "showcase" of the regional equestrian and equestrian activities;
- it plays the role of supporting the training and professionalization of persons wishing to work or already employed in equestrian undertakings;
- it makes available to actors in the modern infrastructure sector to enable horses to be trained regardless of discipline (race, sport, utility work…);
- it brings together the various regional bodies in its "Equipôle" building in order to bring together the institutions working for the development of the sector (Institut français du horse et de l'équitation, School of Races, Regional Riding Committee, Council of the Horse-Trade Association Rhône-Alpes, Association of Éleveurs Breeders'unions, Association of Trainers in Equestrian Activities…).
