Founded in 1989, the Mediterranean Environment Centre is a centre for environmental initiation. He is a member of the National Union of the Permanent Centre for Environmental Initiation (UNCPIE) and has a very strong pedagogical vocation. Campuses were born 20 years ago to involve young volunteers in local sustainable development initiatives, around three simple ideas: learning, civic service and intercultural adventure.
What do they propose ? Its international sector organizes summer campuses throughout Europe and around the Mediterranean. Some campuses are intended for initiation to environmental protection, others for heritage conservation. It is also possible to participate in voluntary service courses from 6 months to 1 year.
Where ? Europe, Mediterranean Basin.
Prices and conditions. These campuses are intended for students or young professionals, especially those whose curriculum is in place with the environment or heritage conservation. Biology, Architecture, Local Development : your file will be evaluated by breeders. 15 candidates per campus and about 20 campuses from June to October, for about hours of work per week. The cost of registration at campus is € 60 including membership of organizing association and individual «repatriation» insurance. The organization and expenses of travel to the campus are borne by the participants.
