This rock takes its strange name from the Alsatian dialect: juden means Jew and hubel means hat. Understand therefore "the hat of the Jews". Its astonishing shape is reminiscent of the headgear worn by the inhabitants of the region who belonged to this religion in the Middle Ages. The different circuits that lead to it offer many possible outings for hikers, nature lovers, photographers and painters, passing, why not, by several buildings or natural monuments of the area in a more or less easy loop.
