Ecomuseum retracing the agricultural, economic and human history of the Hautes-Alpes region through the use of period tools and machinery.

The Ecomusée de Charance presents craftsmanship in the heart of nature. All the agricultural, economic and human history of the Hautes-Alpes through tools, machines and engines used between 1790 and 1920. The ingenuity of the men and women - farmers, blacksmiths, clog-makers and blacksmiths - who brought these techniques to life. Guided tours must be booked in advance, with the option of choosing 2 of 6 themes: agriculture, clog-making, wagon-making, mechanical power, forging and sawing.
