2 km from Ville-Vieille, in the direction of Molines, you will find the unusual natural site of the Demoiselle Coiffée, a surprising witness of geological time. This stone column - originating from a moraine - is topped by a block of stone like a flat hat which protects it from the sun but especially from erosion. Indeed, this natural sculpture is due to the natural erosion of a friable rock surmounted by a block of more resistant rock. If there is a small path to reach the foot of the Demoiselle, there is no viewpoint from which to admire it from the road.
