Museum in the former fortified castle of the Sires de Bourbon, retracing the history of Gannat from prehistory to the Second World War.
This former fortified castle of the Lords of Bourbon is a museum with some twenty rooms recounting the history of the Gannat region from prehistory to the Second World War, the centerpiece of which is a priceless Carolingian gospel. There are also temporary exhibitions such as, in 2024, "En Voiture Simone". The originator of this popular expression, Simone Louise des Forest, was a rally car driver between 1930 and 1957, who ran a driving school in Gannat from 1950 to 1975. Educational workshops and vacation activities.
