This was the best of three restaurants we ate at in Villefranche, a real gem! The food is truly gourmet, we had three courses and everything was delicious. The presentation and table service is also excellent, professional but not overly formal. The location is also great, a quiet corner steps from a medieval church - eating down by the dock you have cars and tourists constantly walking behind your chair. Lounging outside at La Belle Etoile after a fine meal on a July evening was our best experience in Provence!

We just dropped in for a glass of wine on the way back to our hotel. The waitress was really good. Nice wine and fabulous location. We'll be back in a day or two. We had food elsewhere earlier. We love Villefranche Sur Mer.
