In the Middle Ages, the region was abandoned, but in 1519, Valbonne was reborn thanks to the initiative of Prior Antoine Taxil and Bishop Augustin de Grimaldi. Investors populated the "good valley" of Vallis Bona along La Brague, renting houses from peasants. Valbonne stands out from other Provencal villages with its orthogonal checkerboard layout, inherited from Roman towns, consisting of two main streets and a central square. Charming facades with pastel shutters, small restaurants... the village has retained its Provencal charm.

The Tourist Information Office, located at 14 rue de la Fontaine in the heart of the village of Valbonneis at your service to answer your tourist and practical needs.
It offers complete information on the city and its heritage as well as on tourism on the French Riviera, local transport networks and the many festivals and events organized by the Commune and the towns and villages of the Alpes-Maritimes. A dynamic and welcoming team welcomes the public in French and English.
The Tourist Information Office is open :
- All year round from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
- Every day from June 1st to September 30th.
- monday to Saturday from October 1st to May 31st.
- Closed on public holidays except on July 14 and August 15.

➥ Food Truck Festival July 31, 2022
The trucks arrive at the Bermond farm for a festive and family day with tastings in the shade of the olive trees. Talented cooks, wine merchants, brewers, ice cream makers, producers of healthy and refreshing drinks, thrift shops, beauty shops...
They all put themselves in a truck to satisfy you.
They will park their truck for a whole day dedicated to sharing and celebration.
Giant outdoor games, access to ping pong tables, petanque field, relaxation area, non stop cooking.
Three concerts will be held in the olive grove to liven up the atmosphere:
- 12pm to 1pm: R-SAJ BAND (rocksteady, ska) under the trees
- 5pm to 7pm : FAYLASUF (ambient, electro guitar)
- 7:30 to 9:30 pm : RIFF TONIC (rock n' roll)
And to close the day, open-air cinema at 10pm with a screening of the film "Into the Wild" by Sean Penn.
Good plan for the shuttle: The Commune provides a free shuttle from 11am to 1pm and from 4:30pm to 11pm. Its use is strongly encouraged because parking and traffic during these events can be disrupted.

Located at the Théâtre forain / Ferme Bermond (Garbejaïre), rendez-vous on August 6 at 9:15 pm.
On stage, three artists, a musician and two singer-actresses make rediscover Georges Brassens to all generations.
Alternating solos, duets, a capella songs, musical mixes, the show unfolds at the rhythm of the songs that Georges Brassens wrote, to illustrate the highlights of his life, without necessarily remaining in chronology.
➥ CIGALON

Cigalon is a cook who thinks so highly of his work that he rarely gets into the kitchen and chooses customers worthy of his menus. Thanks to the slogan "Here, we serve the customers", Madame Toffi, his laundress, decides to open her own establishment right next door. The great chef is stung to the core. War is declared between the gruff kitchen boy and the new competitor.
Cigalon is now determined to welcome everyone, even the worst scoundrels from the underworld of Marseille.
