Abbey church in Ebreuil with a monumental rectangular bell tower-porch and a central nave of basilica type with 6 bays.
Founded in the 10th century by the Poitevin monks of Saint-Maixent, the abbey church is astonishing for its gigantic proportions and the different styles that coexist there. It was built over a long period, from the beginning of the 11th to the end of the 12th century. One enters through a monumental rectangular bell tower-porch, built around 1125 on the model of Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire. Inside, the gaze embraces a central nave of basilical type of six bays, five of which are covered with a wooden frame. The 12th century frescoes decorating the pillars are of great beauty.

L'abbatiale Saint-Léger est un lieu de calme où l'on peut se retrouver. Son architecture est remarquable si l'on souhaite découvrir les édifices romans d'Auvergne. La Sioule la longeant offre un cadre de repos et de balade idéal.
