A memorable soapbox race down the sloping village streets. Participants create their own cars!

Every year, on the first Sunday in October, a memorable soapbox race is held in the village. Participants prepare their cars all year round to race down the sloping streets of Cipières: pallets, wooden crates, supermarket trolleys, barrels or cans... These well-decorated soapboxes undergo inspection before the event opens, and are declared compliant or non-compliant according to a set of rules. Spectacle guaranteed!
