AQUA'RIDER RAFTING

The Ubaye valley, located between the Hautes Alpes and Alpes de Haute-Provence, is one of the most beautiful destinations for rafting. In spring, when the snow melts, the Ubaye transforms into a gigantic torrent with enormous rapids. Ephemeral courses are then offered, such as the Haute-Ubaye between Italy and Jausiers, or the Bachelard near the Parc du Mercantour in the commune of Pra-Loup. When conditions become milder, rafting trips between Barcelonnette and Lac de Serre-Ponçon are open to all, from the age of 5. For thrill-seekers, two steep sections are available, conditions permitting.
