The castle is built on a rock. It is the first example in France of Renaissance construction from a medieval castle. It has a medieval keep, drawbridges, fortifications, but the main building is Renaissance. There is also a chapel. Royal residence, it belonged to Henri Boyer, François I, Jean Escoubleau de Sourdis and Richelieu. The site is currently being renovated. During the visit, you will learn more about its history and its evolution.
