Hotel and restaurant with terrace offering comfortable rooms in La Roche-Posay.

The esplanade has several hats and besides the fact that you can sleep there, the restaurant will welcome you to feast and you can come to drink at the bar at any time. Whether it's the rooms facing the square or those with balcony overlooking the back of the building, all are equipped with TV and telephone. The brightness and comfort of these rooms make it a privileged place by the curistes who can enjoy special rates. The restaurant offers à la carte dishes and five different menus. The daily menu is 12 € and the child menu is 8 €. Three other menus will make you discover the specialties of the region. The regional menu is 20 €, the gourmet menu from 22 € and the gastronome menu at € 35. The chef will let you discover his universe through a delicious and varied map. We will be advising you laminated from snails to garlic cream, the petals of St. Jacques to safranée sauce or even the house duck conflict. The bar has a warm and friendly atmosphere that gives it an English pub. Moreover, the specialities of this bar are beer-based cocktails. From the traditional Picon Beer to the North Poitou and the intriguing Antillean, all of you will discover original and dépaysantes flavours. Ideal for having coffee at the end of the meal or simply for a place in the day, the Stud also has a nice terrace when weather permits.

Really nice meal for very reasonable price. I had the €22 menu: scallops in delicious flaky pastry with a saffron sauce, the freshest and tastiest trout with almonds and pomme dauphinoise I've had for a long time. Very nice wine by the carafe. Excellent pudding, Very nice staff. Highly recommended.
