ACADEMY HOUSE

It's a place of remembrance, a small museum, a place of history that highlights the genealogical research carried out on the links between Poitou and the Acadians, on these families who left to populate New France as early as the ^17th century, in the hope of a better world on the other side of the Atlantic. We'll tell you all about their daily lives, right up to the tragedy of the Grand Dérangement in 1755, and the still-vibrant Acadian soul that brings so many visitors to La Chaussée every year.
