Château Chareil-Cintrat features 2 circular towers and monumental fireplaces with sculptures, paintings and inscriptions.
Its layout is fairly standard, with a rectangular main building flanked by two circular towers to the west, but its decoration is one of the most interesting in the department. The monumental fireplaces bear sculptures, paintings, inscriptions and painted decorations. A heraldic eagle and a Diana of Ephesus are depicted on the flight of stairs, in a style and color reminiscent of Antiquity. Upstairs, a small room features an astrological ceiling, as well as a fireplace decorated with lion paws and a painting of Mars and Venus.

Attention, the opening hours are limited but this small castle is a pictorial must: the ceiling of the staircase is entirely decorated by artists with Renaissance who was inspired by the discovery of the villa Nero to Rome: abundance the grotesque and mythological influences. Absolutely brilliant!
