CAFÉ DE L’ESPÉRANCE
Institution taken over by Carlos Matos bringing his Iberian touch to the Espé, it offers in addition to coffees, Spanish specialties.
Since November 12 and after some work, the new owner of the Espérance bar, Carlos Matos, is behind the counter, ready to welcome customers. Former regular of this institution, he took over from Gilles Thiollet while realizing his childhood dream. His grandparents having a restaurant in Spain, he has always dreamed of having his own business. He is therefore delighted to take over this bar full of history, where all ages can meet. So, at any time, anyone can come in for a coffee and a chat. If the flag on the wall doesn't give you a hint, at noon and in the evening, it's time for tapas. The manager honors his native country with tortillas, patatas bravas and their spicy sauce, a pintxo (sandwich) with Iberian ham or on Saturdays croquetas, as well as calamari Spanish style. Welcome!
