The bioclimatic Pergola is an innovative terrace shelter invented and manufactured by Solisystème. This terrace roofing system makes it possible to instantly adjust the amount of sunlight and create a refreshing ventilation in case of high heat. All these pergolas are certified by Origine France Garantie.

History. In the early 2000s, Jean-Louis Castel developed an original pergola system with pivoting slats: the bioclimatic pergola, in search of solutions to protect his terrace from the sun and bad weather. A few months later, aware of the effectiveness of his terrace roofing system and the originality of his invention, he filed the patent that allowed him to develop his company. The success was dazzling. The bioclimatic pergola activated by a small electric motor was sold throughout France and then crossed borders. Since then, comfortably installed in its 11,000 m² of workshops in Avanton, Solisystème has established itself as the reference for terrace shelter manufacturers in France and in more than fifteen countries.

The products. The bioclimatic pergolas system consists of adjustable blades that, when closed, interlock to provide shelter from rain and light thanks to a set of dedicated gutters. Solisystème has also invented the harlequin pergola, a concept equipped with colour panels and sliding frames, which allows the covered surface of the pergola to be varied from one to six by hand.
