Built at an altitude of over 500 metres, the Grand Wintersberg tower, erected in 1890, is the highest point in the Northern Vosges. If you're afraid of getting discouraged, don't count the steps, because this 360-degree view has to be earned! Once you've reached the top, rest assured that any regrets will disappear in the face of the serenity of the surrounding plains and forests. Just 8 km from the Niederbronn train station, the tower is accessible by car and bike via a tarmac road, or a footpath and mountain bike trail through the woods. Access is free, and the site can be a starting point for longer hikes, notably to the Ziegenberg Celtic camp.
