Fromagerie du Purdeau is a dairy products supplier based in Thouarsais-Bouildroux, in the Vendée region. Founded in 1996, the dairy specializes in the production of farmhouse goat cheeses. Owners Denis and Nathalie Lemire began their business with the purchase of a small farm and a herd of 100 goats. Since then, they have expanded their business to include a herd of 180 Alpine goats. The cheeses are made in several stages, and maturing requires patience. The cheese dairy offers a range of fresh and mature cheeses, as well as yoghurts made from goat's milk.
