Remarkable garden at Sainte-Pexine, located around the Chaligny dwelling.
The buildings of the logis de Chaligny are listed on the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments. The logis is a fine example of Renaissance architecture in the Lower Poitou region. The gardens include a pleasure garden, a fruit garden, a riverside kitchen garden, a herb garden and a pergola planted with vines, roses and clematis. Housed in a former outdoor barn, an orangery houses orange and lemon trees for the pleasure garden, as well as cacti and frost plants.
