L'Inattendu lives up to its name, because since it opened in 2022, this excellent restaurant has quickly become one of the best in the Vendée. Gourmet friends, don't miss out on this beachside restaurant: a great place to enjoy fine food. From amuse-bouches to dessert, everything is delicious and refined, as well as beautifully presented. With a regularly changing menu, the chef offers daring combinations, such as carrots, green coffee and filet mignon, and perfect cooking, such as pearly fish, kale and almonds.

Open all year round. Closed from January 7 to February 1, 2024. Low season: Wednesday to Sunday. High season: Tuesday to Sunday. Menus from €43 to €58. Set lunch menu: €21 (main course and starter or dessert or €25 starter and dessert). Terrace.
Owner's Message
Pascal, 49 years old, and 31 years in the restaurant business. More than a passion, it's an evidence. Everywhere he has gone, he has transcended himself and brought each of the restaurants he has managed to their peak, skilfully blending his energy, his knowledge and his sense of welcome.
In the kitchen, it is Paul who takes the lead to delight your taste buds. Originally from the South of Touraine, after having worked alongside Amélie and Nicolas Coutand at Les Genêts, he has chosen to make his living cuisine known in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, to offer you L'Inattendu... With a vegetable garden on site, L'Inattendu will offer you a fresh, living and ephemeral cuisine, all under a strong herbaceous and wild influence
