Village du Ciel was founded in 2001 with the firm intention to promote astronomy in the heart of the Vendée. Originally based in Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure he settled in 2011 at the Manoir des Sciences in the commune of Réaumur. All parties of the association are open to all, including non-adherents. An excellent initiative that does not limit its access only to a few evenings organized during the year. Twice a month (schedule is available on the website), so it is possible to observe (depending on weather conditions) and to discuss with competent people current astronomical news. For families, this may also be the time to visit the manor house and take advantage of the often interactive activities that are proposed: knowledge of the Enlightenment, the history of the thermometer, laboratory, reading room, workshop, garden visit, etc.
