A 56-hectare sensitive natural area, featuring a belvedere and two ponds that are home to over 3,000 birds a day.
In the heart of the Vendée bocage, the Cité des Oiseaux offers 56 hectares of preserved natural spaces. The site is made up of a mosaic of living environments: woods, meadows, hedges and ponds. Exceptionally, for the whole of 2025, the main pond will be kept dry. This ecological management action is necessary to limit silting and ensure the long-term survival of this important natural environment for waterfowl. Opening time and information on THE CITY OF BIRDS
Closed from November to March. From April 05 to November 2. Low season: open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm. High season: daily from 11am to 7pm. July-Aug: 7d/7, 10am-7pm, April to June: Wed to Sun, 2pm-6pm. Sept-Oct: Wed, Sat, Sun. Nature area and photo exhibition: free - Treasure hunt: €3 per family. Children welcome. Guided tours. Animations.
