A 56-hectare sensitive natural area, featuring a belvedere and two ponds that are home to over 3,000 birds a day.
In the heart of the Vendée bocage, the Cité des Oiseaux offers 56 hectares of preserved natural spaces. The site is made up of a mosaic of living environments: woods, meadows, hedges and ponds. Exceptionally, for the whole of 2025, the main pond will be kept dry. This ecological management action is necessary to limit silting and ensure the long-term survival of this important natural environment for waterfowl. Closed from November to March. From April 05 to November 2. Low season: open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm. High season: daily from 11am to 7pm. July-Aug: 7d/7, 10am-7pm, April to June: Wed to Sun, 2pm-6pm. Sept-Oct: Wed, Sat, Sun. Nature area and photo exhibition: free - Treasure hunt: €3 per family. Children welcome. Guided tours. Animations.
