LE PARK

Guinguette

Nestling on the banks of the Oudairies pond, Le Park, guinguette 2.0, is an atypical place. A place for life and fun, where groups of friends gather for a drink to play pétanque, shuffleboard, darts or Corn Hole, watch a match, enjoy a concert or DJ set, or dine on delicious street food. On sunny days, the beach and its deckchairs lining the pond are packed. Weather uncertain? Take advantage of the covered tent! A multi-purpose venue, unique in the Vendée, that can be hired for private events.

BAR LES ARTISTES

Bar and caf
4/5
3 reviews

The place is atypical and original: every night owl knows the Bar des Artistes. More than a bar, Le BDA is above all a café-concert that organizes concerts and improvisation sessions every week from September to May. The outdoor stage then takes over, every Friday in summer, on the terrace under the cherry trees of Place Résistance. In short, this lively year-round venue has a soul. On Saturday evenings, you have to elbow your way to a seat. The clientele is young, but all generations mix.

LE 18 B

On the Place Nap', this glass roof at the foot of the pool where the ibis is located is the setting for this bar-restaurant. When the weather is fine, it unfolds a terrace facing the foot of the kiosk. The door opens onto a large space where the glass and aluminium of the structure are mixed with Scandinavian-style blond wood furniture. The place is made of different spaces with, next to the main room, another one opening onto a covered terrace overlooking the pools. On the bar side, the menu displays traditional drinks that you can accompany with one of the dishes on the menu.

LE VIN SUR VIN

Wine bar

The name of this new wine bar, set to open on rue Lafayette in early 2023, leaves no doubt as to what this establishment is all about, and that's just as well! You'll appreciate the warm look of the wooden furniture surrounded by bottle racks: a room on the first floor, and a space upstairs. The two creators, both wine enthusiasts, offer wines from all grape varieties, from Bordeaux to Loire, via Rhône Valley or Languedoc wines, selected mostly directly from the winegrower, to be accompanied by charcuterie boards.

PUB LA STATION

Pub

Installed in front of the square, on the market, the terrace stretches in front of the gray facade allowing the customers to take their ease and invade the pedestrian street, and in particular during the concerts where the music can even push customers to dance in the street. The guest star is the beer! The particularity of this pub: you serve yourself and pay according to the quantity "drawn". Also many beers in bottle, but also cocktails, like the Cougar (and not "the"), as the humor is also of rigor in this pub where the good atmosphere reigns.

BIBOVINO

Wine bar
Closed - Open to 10h00

A wine cellar, wine bar and restaurant concept: that's what this national brand, based in the Halles district of Paris, is all about. You'll find quality wines (essentially as natural as possible) packaged in bag-in-box (BIB). It's easy to think that nothing beats bottled wine, but you've got to get over your prejudices about BIBs, and Laurent will convince you to give it a try. The other good news is the high-quality, home-cooked cuisine on offer at weekends.

GRIND

Coffee shop and tea room

In the Halles district, in front of the Grind façade, you'll find a large terrace on Place du Marché. At any time of day, you can enjoy gourmet drinks (hot or cold) in Barista-inspired presentations, accompanied by homemade pastries. A must on the fast-food menu are the burgers and bagels, made with fresh, mostly local produce and artisan breads. There's also a burger of the moment and a vegetarian version, made with house-made veggie steaks. If you can't eat in, order online and take away!
