THE GALLO-ROMAN TEMPLE

This site is located in the countryside, close to the village. In-depth excavations made it possible to discover and reconstruct this "fanum", a sanctuary composed of a divine chamber surrounded by a gallery, the latter would apparently have been frequented from the th to the th century, and then transformed into a artisan shop. From the vast Gallo-Roman town of Bird le Petit, in 1836, there is only that left. Built in the th century, its uninhabitable centered plan echoes the Gallic differences traditions.
