Asnières-sur-Vègre is one of the architectural jewels of the department. Amateurs of the Middle Ages, this village is an essential destination for you. The walk on the streets of this old village of weavers, particularly the rue du 14-Nivôse, and along the meandering Vègre's meandering streets, is warmly recommended. The old Romanesque-style bridge (rebuilt in 1806) and the lace (Saint-Aldric fountain, transformed at the same time), in excellent condition, as well as the gray marble stones that adorn the carriageway, originating in Asnières' quarry. The nail of the visit remains the wall paintings of the church Saint-Hilaire, executed between the twelfth and sixteenth centuries. Going back to Saint-Hilaire Street, you will arrive at the manor of the Court (thirteenth century), an imposing building with turrets.
