CIRCUIT PISSARRO-PIETTE

From the hamlet of Monfoucault to Niort-la-Fontaine (3 km from Lassay), this trail offers a 8 km loop through Melleray-la-Vallée. Throughout the period, there are twelve reproductions of paintings in front of the motif that inspired them. We are on the traces of the Impressionist painter Camille Pissarro (1830-1903) and his friend Ludovic Piette, painter and mayor of the village. Pissarro came regularly to Ludovic Piette, Monfoucault, between 1863 and 1876.
