An exceptional stay in a superb troglodyte hotel in Turquant.
The dream of sleeping in a room nestled in the rock and bathing in a troglodytic pool! Clinging to the tuffeau cliffs overlooking the Loire, this elegant, unusual logis-hotel occupies a former 17th-century mansion, part of which was built in a troglodytic setting. The rooms, decorated with refinement and sobriety, are spacious and offer every modern comfort. The hotel also offers a fully-equipped underground apartment for 5 people. This unusual dwelling is remarkably beautiful, and the swimming pool, heated to 28°C, is open all year round.

Wir haben eine Nacht in der Demeure de la Vignole verbracht und waren begeistert. Das Haus ist nicht nur wunderschön in die Felsen gebaut, sondern überzeugt vor allem durch seine herzliche Atmosphäre.
Die Gastgeber*innen waren außergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit – wir haben uns mit Kindern sofort willkommen gefühlt. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt.
Das Konzept der kleinen Abendkarte („petite restauration“) fanden wir super – unkompliziert, lecker und perfekt nach einem Reisetag. Das Frühstück war exzellent: frisch, vielfältig und liebevoll serviert.
Das troglodytische Schwimmbad war ein echtes Highlight für Groß und Klein.
Die Lage mitten in den Weinbergen ist traumhaft – ruhig, grün, und gleichzeitig ein guter Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Loire-Region.
Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!
