Marie-Françoise Ratron and her team manage this beautiful, rich vineyard nestled between forest, hillside and tufa rock. It is from the latter that the estate's exclusive Cabernet Franc grapes derive all their minerality. Some of the vines are over 50 years old and have been passed down through four generations. The Ratron family's production is in conversion to organic farming, with manual harvesting, all on terroirs typical of the appellation, without chemical fertilizers or industrial yeasts or enzymes.

For more than thirty years, the Chevallier family has reigned over this chateau estate whose Saumur-Champigny remains, from father to son, one of the most reliable values. You must absolutely taste the estate's references: the Grand Clos cuvée which is aged for sixteen months in barrels, a Cabernet of a rare concentration, rich and velvety, and the Clos des Cormiers Chenin harvested in three selections and delivered to the barrels for eleven months, as well as the white Saumur and the Vieilles Vignes Champigny. And what a beautiful environment this park is, where the elegant château sits.

The Domaine de l'Aurée is located in the heart of the Saumur-Champigny appellation. Certified organic since 2019, with 9 hectares of vines, the estate is keen to produce quality wines, worthy of this exceptional terroir, with respect for nature and its vines. Cuvées such as Le Grand Clos or Clos Prieur are a good example.
