Island which shelters the tiny and authentic hamlet of Béhuard, located in the southern periphery of Angers in Savennières.
Located on the southern outskirts of Angers, this 3 km long island is home to the tiny and authentic hamlet of Béhuard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The place sees year after year regular floods without ever losing its charm, between cobbled streets and old stones. It is impossible to go there without admiring the strange rock that supports its pretty little chapel built in the 15th century, classified as a historical monument. Walkers and cyclists in search of serenity are welcome in this small city of character.
