Various dishes to enjoy in a restaurant with terrace near the city center of Angers.

Just a 10-minute drive from downtown Angers, Geoffrey and Céline Godineau have created an intimate setting, imbued with traditional chic without a hint of arrogance. Here, they serve classic French cuisine (where the Angevin terroir is never far away), generous and perfectly executed: homemade foie gras with Aubance perfume or smoked salmon ballottine as starters, followed by pike-perch in beurre blanc or a rack of Breton pig raised on straw. For dessert, the soufflé glacé with Vrignaud caramel liqueur and Noirmoutier salt is a wonderful discovery.

Bon restaurant gastronomique, les menus sont de bonne qualité mais le cadre m'apparaît vieillot et l'environnement n'a rien d'exceptionnel. On est rarement déçu par la qualité de la cuisine ce restaurant plaira à ceux qui aime la cuisine traditionnelle dans une ambiance convenue. Il faudrait faire un effort de modernité.

Hello - I have been eating on saturdays 21.01.2012. Well frankly, I still have doubts about the concept of " restaurant gastronomique". Only 2 menus 29.5 and 36 I believe and no menu. We took the menu with 29.5 cheese (the cheapest). Scallops starter without taste (perhaps frozen), a too cooked pike-perch (I burnt me the language, the interior is so hot swim in sauce beurre blanc. I even suspect them with cooked it with the microwave. Without cheeses, except the tome cheese, excellent. Height was blown crepe apples, a thick! and too cooked too! it was or loch chocolate (the genoese is 2 times thicker than chocolate) and its crispy (crispy, they are the hazelnut flakes on loch). I often do not dine at the restaurant and this is why I like to choose a nice restaurant, original dishes and fresh produce. I thought sincerely that this price, I will have at least fresh ingredients. Very disappointed. A small good note however a warm welcome.
