Just a 10-minute drive from downtown Angers, Geoffrey and Céline Godineau have created an intimate setting, imbued with traditional chic without a hint of arrogance. Here, they serve classic French cuisine (where the Angevin terroir is never far away), generous and perfectly executed: homemade foie gras with Aubance perfume or smoked salmon ballottine as starters, followed by pike-perch in beurre blanc or a rack of Breton pig raised on straw. For dessert, the soufflé glacé with Vrignaud caramel liqueur and Noirmoutier salt is a wonderful discovery.
