Museum in Doué-en-Anjou, dedicated to the businesses of the past, with stores displaying period objects to relive the past

These beautiful 18th century buildings house a museum dedicated to the shops of the past. About twenty carefully reconstructed stores bring the past to life. Evocative of memories for the older ones, it allows the younger ones to dive into the world of their grandparents. They can also sit at a school desk and color... just like back then! The visit is discovered through explanatory panels and ends with a beautiful store.

On apprécie le lieu : des anciennes écuries qui accueillent sur deux niveaux des boutiques reconstituées à l’identique. Quel plaisir de retrouver les vieilles devantures, les produits qui sont dans la mémoire des plus anciens et de pouvoir retrouver les chansons que fredonnaient les aïeux. Ne manquez pas la visite commentée par un passionné en tenue d’époque !

Beautiful neat presentation of old shops in an appropriate setting; the reconstruction of a completely street is on the ground floor, the exhibition on the 1st floor is just as pleasant. A warm welcome for a moment to go out of time; a museum not to be missed!
The idea to offer, this year, a brochure souvenir is excellent; it is pleasant to read and read and extends the visit with pleasure.
