An area in the heart of the historic vineyard giving rise to the Quarts appellation of Thatch. 10 of the 43 hectares of the vineyard, planted on the slopes of schist and sandstone, yield in reasoned yield this prestigious nectar derived from the white chenin. Each vintage has its own character, but these great wines show elegance, finesse and longevity. The Lafourcade family also knows how to shape the Bonnezeaux and Savennières, two other prestigious wines, as well as a beautiful Anjou Villages. Chenin, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon: typical varieties of Anjou that the house cultivates with respect for art, traditional and natural.

At the head of a young and dynamic team, Vanessa Cherruau brings to life the sumptuous domain of Plaisance and its 25 hectares of parcels. Chenin, Cabernet Sauvignon or Cabernet Franc, everything here is cultivated in biodynamic methods. A true fan of this terroir, Vanessa has no shortage of projects for her estate. Making sure to exploit its full potential while respecting nature, ecology and equality, this is a magnificent project that we can only applaud. It's hard to resist the urge to come and complete her cellar with vintages as mythical as they are ethical!

DOMAINE DE BELLE RIVE

In Rochefort-sur-Loire, on the left bank of the river, the vineyard of Belle Rive extends over over 35 hectares spread over several typical and reputed Anjou designations: 12 hectares of quarters of Chaume, 19 hectares of Chaume and 7 hectares of Savennières. 3 names and 3 properties - the Château Bellerive, the Château de Varennes and the Château de Guimonière - operate here the white channel, the noble and emblematic grape of Anjou. The historic vineyard was resumed in 2005 by Alain Château, a passionate industrialist who acquired the services of a famous Bordeaux oenologist, Denis Dubourdieu. Respect for the earth and know-how, manual harvesting, traditional fermentation in oak barrels… The Domaine de Belle Rive "new generation" has kept its range of master wines. Don't go around the corner without tasting this great liquorous wine of the Quarter of Chaume: a Château Bellerive AOC. A beautiful golden dress, intense aromas of ripe fruit and exotic fruit notes. A reference!

Château de l'Eperonnière in Rochefort-sur-Loire is the ideal venue for a dream wedding. Nestled in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon vineyards, this estate offers an enchanting setting to celebrate your union. Imagine a secular ceremony at the foot of a hundred-year-old oak, followed by a cocktail on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the Loire. Afterwards, enjoy dinner in a restored 15th-century barn, with its upside-down ship's hull frame that's sure to dazzle. The Bacchus room, which seats 180, is equipped with a video-projector and removable screen. The Chais à Barriques, renovated in 2008, can accommodate up to 60 people for a tasting of Loire wines. For your accommodation, the estate offers a 16-bed gîte.

DOMAINE DES BAUMARD

Florent Baumard develops a wide variety of wines, savennières (including the famous Clos du Papillon), quarts-de-thatch, crémant-de-loire - which will delight the greatest number with its very crystalline dress and discreet nose -, Anjou white and red, gold green table wine (dry and fluffy depending on the years, from an old local vine called Verdhelho); the latter enters the assembly of white rods. More than 10 people work in the field, distributed in various plots that Mr. Baumard had planted. 35 ha cultivated in ecological (and non-organic) tradition and mainly in high and spaced vines. A large producer of savennières, the vintages are long worked and offered for sale long after bottling.

Sale of wines and spirits

Named after the initials of the Fournier and Longchamps families, the FL estate is located on the heights of Rochefort-sur-Loire and has 34 hectares of vines spread over the Savennières, Anjou Blanc and Anjou-Villages, Coteaux du Layon and Quarts de Chaume appellations. Organic or biodynamic wines that can be bought directly from the property's superb shop or tasted during a guided tour of the cellar. The place is magnificently fitted out and offers a wide range of wine-tourism activities (food and wine pairing meals...).
