Wine estates Parnay

In Parnay, Philippe and Agnès Porché open the doors of their certified organic estate to let you discover their winemaking know-how. Here, they honor the wines whose names are reminiscent of the court of the ancient nobility: the Troubadour, the Page, the Fou, the Jouvencelle... Meticulous wine-making allows them to offer beautiful and tasty white, rosé and red wines and delicate bubbles! Finalists since 2019 of the Trophées de l'oenotourisme, medallists 2020 and 2021, they offer several activities around wine, fun and educational.

The famous "Clos d'entre les Murs" contains walls with holes through which the vines gain access to the sun in order to get the necessary calories for its ripening. A very nice visit for a site that mixes history, geology, techniques and pleasures. One can taste and buy the wines produced here, from a wonderful variety of saumur-champigny, the Clos du Château, which will delight the amateurs of notes of liquorice, to the very famous dry white wine the Clos d'entre les Murs, of a great richness, which presents a very fruity and slightly wooded nose. Great wines!

Edouard Pisani-Ferry. On the edge of the departmental line along the Loire, right in the village exit, above the direction Saumur-Montsoreau. Superb site that Celui, a small, delicate castle located on the hillside, consists of a body of solid houses framed with four square towers, intimately embedded in the bright blonde and bright rock. Edouard Pisani is the descendant of a large family and his predecessors have historically settled here since 1655. It was a hunting residence of King Louis XIV's personal secretary, who, over the centuries, had many republican and resilient antibonapartistes, as well as many ministers or mps. The 24 hectares provide the châtelain winery with three beautiful vintages of champigny. The "Targé", high in stainless steel tanks. More powerful, Cuvée is high in barrels and bottled in the second spring following harvest. This attachant character is a local figure that animates local news and wine growing by documenting and sharing thoughts about metaphysics, psychology, politics, societal facts, and is the "local correspondent" of wine and ecological news with humour and foresight.

We have tasted:

1/Saumur blanc 2005 the Fresnettes. COUP DE COEUR: a clear yellow dress and a white fishing nose with a touch of honey and lemon that gives him an extravagant length. A beautiful minéralité and a well-controlled balance. Accompanying suggestion: Burbot with orange zests candied.

2/saumur-champigny 2005 Castle of Targé at 7,50 €.

COUP DE COEUR: for the gourmands it will be enchantment, roundness, roundness fruit, notes of blond tobacco and honey. A very beautiful wine. Accompanying suggestion: Calf piccata or calf roulade with stuffed mushrooms.

3/saumur-champigny 2004 Quintessence at € 17. COUP

DE COEUR: a beautiful guard wine whose réglissées notes last in the mouth on a well-balanced structure. Accompanying suggestion: tournedos Rossini.
