The wine-growing tradition is well rooted in the history of the Château de Montreuil-Bellay vineyard. With its 16 hectares of hand-harvested vines producing Loire brine and crémant, the estate has become known for its good wines. Red brines (including a premium cuvée called la Flamboyante, fruity and tannic), white brines, Cabernets d'Anjou and Saumur and a delicious white or rosé Crémant de Loire (winner of the gold medal in 2018).

Superbe château privé visité par beau temps. L'entrée, à 12€, vous permet de découvrir les extérieurs et une partie de l'intérieur du château. Il est très bien entretenu. La cuisine médiévale m'a vraiment impressionnée. Une petite introduction du château, d'environ 15mn, est possible dans la cour avec une guide.
La visite se termine avec une dégustation des vins de Montreuil Bellay ????????
