A remarkable natural science museum in Angers, with a large collection of insects and birds.
Housed in the former Hôtel Demarie-Valentin, this museum displays the old-fashioned charm of museums of yesteryear. At the top of a steep staircase, large stuffed animals greet visitors before they move on to the smaller species. A large collection of insects and birds (the museum has all the species recorded in the département) is on display. Pass through a hanging garden to reach the room devoted to geology. A visit well worth the detour!
