LE GANGNAM
Homemade and tasty home cooking in a Korean restaurant on the rue Saumuroise in Angers.
In the main street of Saumur is Gangnam. Admittedly, the front is not really attractive, but once you walk through the door, you discover the chef who cooks the dishes directly with passion. The welcome is very warm and we take the time to explain the specificities of the different menus. Everything here is homemade, and it really shows! The kimbabs (large makis) are crispy, full of flavour, a delight. We continue with a beef, chicken, or vegetarian (and even vegan!) gujeolpan or a bibimbap with fresh vegetables. We end the meal with a delicious sweet note by taking a hotteok (thick pancake with honey and peanut, cinnamon). It is better to take away, the interior of the place is really small (5 places at the counter), but do not hesitate, delivery is free! The formula is very copious, tasty and the change of scenery is successful. Be careful, some dishes are relatively spicy, do not hesitate to ask around to avoid unpleasant surprises for the most sensitive taste buds. Believe us, you'll have a hard time eating Korean industrial dishes after that! Weaknesses: the website is not great and the interior of the restaurant is really very small. Talents: homemade, free delivery, a change of scenery, and a warm welcome.
