New owners since summer 2019 at this Bistrot Gourmand in Sautron. A young couple, with Olivia at the smiling helm and her husband Olivier the chef, have taken over the reins of this brasserie-style restaurant with around fifteen tables and an appreciable terrace in summer. The chef works with fresh, local produce for a simple, generous home-style cuisine. Starters include gizzard salad with bacon or lentil and egg salad; main courses include filet of Thai pollack with rice and spinach shoots, filet mignon or skate wings; and desserts include speculoos tiramisu, chocolate mousse or panna cotta. All homemade. A special mention for the wines of Domaine Bossard in La Chapelle-Heulin, with its Muscadet Sèvre & Maine and Chardonnay, to be enjoyed with friends in good spirits and without moderation. A delightful address.
