House with terrace serving traditional gastronomy with fresh and local products, a cheese platter
In a verdant setting near the Loire, this treasure has been carefully preserved for six generations. Once past the gate, the Château du Grand Plessis, rebuilt in the 19th century, reveals itself at the end of a driveway. Take a few minutes to admire the building, before climbing the steps up to this traditional residence. A gastronomic tradition that Stéphane Gravouille and his wife Magalie keep alive by giving their letters of nobility to regional flavors admirably highlighted. The chef works exclusively with fresh, local produce. After a few appetizers, you'll appreciate one of the house specialties: delicious Provençal-style frogs' legs, Loire eels, and the chef's unmissable foie gras mi-cuit to start. We also serve fish in beurre blanc (pike-perch or sea bass), a local specialty on the banks of the Loire! You can also enjoy a rosette of smoked salmon, American-style blue lobster, tournedos, jus réduit and vegetables from the Bellevue orchards. Suggested cheese platter. Desserts bring the meal to a close with the excellent traditional Gâteau Nantais and vanilla ice cream. A special treat is the dark chocolate-orange crunch, for those with a sweet tooth! The four lounges, decorated with care, are ideal for family, business or romantic meals. At Bénureau, you'll have a delicious time! Service is always impeccable, discreet and efficient. A beautiful terrace overlooking the landscaped grounds can accommodate up to 15 people. A reminder: Bénureau is on the Loire bike trail... a wonderful place to stop!
