House built by the architect Le Corbusier between 1953 and 1955 to respond to the post-war housing crisis in Rezé
Imposing, in concrete, with its red, yellow, green and blue loggias and large fireplace, this house was built by architect Le Corbusier between 1953 and 1955 to respond to the post-war housing crisis. It looks like a liner and is 108 m long, 52 m high and 19 m wide. From its roof terrace, the view over the town is breathtaking, from the Cheviré bridge to the tower of Brittany, passing through the Cordemais power station. There are only five such buildings in the world! The Radiant House was built in the heart of a 6 hectare park. It has only one reception hall to encourage meetings and a nursery school is located on its roof.
