Sublime villas stand on the cornice, testifying to the first success of the sea baths
In the lower town, the fishing port where the terre-neuvas once worked is now frequented by tourists strolling along the quay. Outside the town, sublime villas stand on the cornice, testifying to the first success of sea bathing. Sandeau, Michelet, Renoir, and even Lenin, few personalities have resisted the charms of this resort, already trendy at the time. The golf course, the new casino, the thalassotherapy centre and the marina still confirm today the tourist and seaside vocation of the town.
