Tourist office organizing visits to companies in the Loire Valley, local crafts, or industrial flagships
Since 2001, the association Visitez nos Entreprises en Pays de la Loire (VNE) has been involved in structuring, developing and promoting companies that open up to the public. Economic discovery tourism is a growing success. In France, 15 million visitors pass through the doors of some 5,000 businesses open to the public, including 2,500 on a regular basis. In the Pays de la Loire region, in 2022, more than 360,000 people went through the doors of companies in the region. These organized visits delight the curious, young and old. Among the sixty or so companies in the Loire region that are members of the network, there are industrial gems such as Airbus, Chantiers de l'Atlantique and La Mie Câline, as well as local craftsmen such as Toiles de Mayenne, Carré Cointreau, La Sablésienne cookie factory, Royal Mer and Atelier de la Girouetterie... A small free annual guide available in the tourist offices lists the various sites to visit in the region.
