THE GREETERS
"Now there are more than 280,000 ways (280,000 inhabitants) to discover Nantes": this is the Greeters' slogan! After New York, Buenos Aires, Houston and Paris, Nantes welcomed this unique concept in 2007. In the logic of a participatory and atypical tourism, residents, volunteers, often actors of local and associative life, invite you to visit the city in a different way, for a truly original visit or stay. First you fill in a questionnaire, so that an available greeter can prepare an unforgettable experience according to your request. Along the streets, you will discover unsuspected treasures and curiosities - favorites, good addresses, little habits - by venturing off the beaten track: underground exhibitions, the history of a district, little secrets on the banks of the river Erdre.... Two watchwords for this: free and voluntary! The Greeters of Nantes are members of the Fédération France Greeters and the Global Greeter Network.
