LA TOUE DE NANTES
Discover the waterways of Nantes aboard a toue in the company of an experienced and passionate sailor.
Relax, discover treasures and other surprises when you embark with Olivier to discover the waterways of Nantes, the Erdre, the Loire or the Sèvres. This experienced and passionate sailor built the Libellule in Maine-et-Loire, inspired by the traditional toues of yesteryear. Born in the Loire region, this Loire boat was designed for a variety of uses: fishing, filleting, sand-pulling, transporting goods and people. Departing from the Canal Saint-Félix (on the south station side), nature and heritage lovers (maximum 12) can enjoy a serene cruise on this 15-meter-long toue cabanée, either outdoors on the terrace or sheltered in the 18m2 cabin. Several tours are available: Cœur de ville (1 hour 30), Bol d'Erdre (2 hours 30), Erdre et Loire (2 hours 30). Unless you'd like to organize your own tour (in agreement with the captain, of course!), simply visit the website. Lasting an hour and a half on average (and up to 3 hours 30), these escapades allow you to discover the city and its surroundings in a whole new light. Olivier is happy to lend you his binoculars for a detailed look at the flora and fauna, or to let the kids drive the boat. Cormorants, coypu, the Saint-Félix tunnel and the washboat district will no longer hold any secrets for you. And if you're feeling peckish, you can book a tasting of local produce or even a meal.
