NANTES MÉTROPOLE AMÉNAGEMENT
Nantes Métropole Aménagement is a Société Publique Locale (SPL) playing a role as a public operator in the development of urban areas, the construction of public or economic buildings and the management of business real estate. Created by the elected officials, it is a private company and is the operational tool of Nantes Métropole and 19 municipalities of the agglomeration. It is involved in the urbanization of new or renewed districts (28 development concessions), the provision of land or the development of commercial real estate (31,000 sq.m. of net floor area per year over the past 5 years), the provision of land for housing (760 housing units per year over 2007-2011) and for public facilities (3,700 sq.m. of net floor area per year), the construction of public facilities (14 buildings in 5 years), the management, marketing, and animation of economic real estate (250 tenants and more than 1,000 jobs in 29 buildings), and the support and accompaniment of certain companies (advice and services). It implements the development of the agglomeration: with regard to housing, the company's mission is to make the agglomeration accessible to as many people as possible and to offer an alternative to urban sprawl in the new districts. In recent years, 33% of the housing produced has been social rental housing, 23% affordable housing reserved for first-time buyers, 35% free housing at controlled prices, and 7% various residences (EHPAD, FJT, etc.).
